Leather Care
Leather requires proper care and maintenance to ensure beauty and long life. Failure to clean leather could result in premature aging. Clean the leather regularly, using a slightly moistened cloth to remove grease, dust and dirt.
_
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
_
Never place near radiators or fan heaters, keep a minimum distance of 50 cm (20 inches).
_
Avoid drying. Normal household humidity level is best for leather (40 %).
_
For more stubborn stains, purchase a good leather soap. Add a couple of drops to some warm water, then dip in a clean, soft white cloth. Wring out excess moisture and wipe down the outside of your leather surface. Do not use a colored cloth because dye transfer is possible. After wiping down, buff the bag dry with another soft white cloth.
_
Never use harsh cleaning products on leather including bacterial wipes, baby wipes, ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners, or a stiff brush.
_
Twice per year, your leather surface needs to be reconditioned to help the leather remain supple and stain-resistant. You can purchase great commercial leather conditioners online or at your local home improvement store.
